Mariana Pretorius holds an M.Com degree and is registered as an Industrial Psychologist with the SA Health Professions Council (Reg No PS0073504). She also completed the following qualifications after registering as Industrial Psychologist:

• Advanced Certificate in Logotherapy accredited by the Victor Frankl Institute (USA)
• Post-Graduate Certificate in coaching accredited by the University of Stellenbosch Business School
• Certificate in Life Coaching: Multi-Level Neuro-processing
• Certificate in Trauma Incident Reduction
• As an Industrial Psychologist she is qualified to administer and interpret a variety of standardised psychometric instruments that are utilised when appropriate. Specifically, the Career Direct® GE Guidance System (online) is used as departure point in career counselling

Her experience in the field of performance enhancement started early in her career as trainer in the field of leadership and interpersonal relationship building. In her career thus far, she has focused on the optimisation of creativity, emotional intelligence, engagement, and communication effectiveness; applied in interpersonal relationship development, strategy planning and change management.

Currently and during the last 10 years of her career she has specifically been focusing on coaching clients to identify and define the vision they have for their life to give them momentum to move forward.  In assisting clients on the best career path for them, she shares typical career trajectories and prospects.  She also provides information on career trends and on what skills development clients need for the path ahead.  She provides coaching to support personal growth, motivation and courage.  To enable her to make sure that the client has all relevant information available to decide, she continuously researches trends and the influence of current national and international events, such as the current pandemic, on the world of work.  Future jobs and qualifications needed for those jobs are explored.
